Supporting Women in Coffee
We are proudly using coffee from the Western Highlands province, Papua New Guinea that is cared for, harvested, and sold by the Ukuni Women’s Association to bring you this very special limited edition Single Origin.
At Di Bella, we know how important women are and that they are the backbone of their families and their communities. The flow-on from supporting women farmers to produce top-quality coffee to create better lives for themselves, their families, and their children to ensure a better future is something we needed to be part of!
The Ukuni Women's Association was formed in 2010 with the goal of empowering and supporting women to strengthen their community. Coffee is the primary source of income and lifeline as poor roads, and infrastructure prevents access to basic services. The Association has 194 registered members and their families from 7 different wards in the region. This equates to over 230 hectares or 720,000 coffee trees!
